Why keep a log?

In 2019, well known software developer Julia Evans wrote a blog post entitled Get your work recognized: write a brag document.

Julia's post does a fantastic job explaining the concept, and I encourage you to read it all, but the short version is this.

A brag document is a personal record of your professional accomplishments, achievements, and growth. It's a strategic tool to help you track your contributions, advocate for yourself, and provide clear evidence of your value to your team and organization.

Keeping a regular log means you don't have to rely on memory alone. How many of us have sat down during performance reviews to write a list of our accomplishments, and find that everything is from the last six weeks? With Clonra, you have everything written down in one place, organised by date, tags, and goals.
